What’s Harder Than Giving Birth? Telling Sarah Palin You’re Pregnant!

Bristol Palin confides that telling her mom she was having a baby was the toughest thing she’s ever done!

Discovering she was going to be a teenage mom was a pretty big problem for Bristol Palin – but even more difficult was breaking the news to her mom, former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin.

“That was harder than labor,” Bristol, now 19, admitted to Fancast.com of telling her parents that, not only was she having then-BF Levi Johnston’s son, she was keeping him!

“I knew I was strong enough to do this by myself and to be a parent, and I knew that with my religious background, so it was no adoption or abortion for me. There was no decision. I wanted that baby,” she said of son Tripp, now 1 ½ years old.

Another difficult task in the single mom’s life? Learning to act! Bristol, who is guest starring on the July 5 episode of The Secret Life of an American Teenager, says of her role, “I was definitely nervous [shooting my scenes]. This is intimidating. I had a great time. But I wasn’t that prepared because I started practicing the lines the morning of the shoot. I don’t think I want to do more acting. I don’t think acting is my niche. I don’t want to be an actress.”

To be fair, Bristol isn’t really ACTING in her role on the ABC Family show: her storyline involves a pregnant 17-year-old! “I just thought it was a good fit,” she said.
