Fireworks, laser light shows, celebs, carnival rides and more than 100,000 people…I had the time of my life at a huge dance music festival last weekend!
Hey HollywoodLifers — Celia here. I’ve always thought electronic dance parties were for neon-wearing weirdos, but boy, was I wrong. Last weekend I went to one of the biggest dance music festivals in Los Angeles, the Electric Daisy Carnival, and had the coolest experience ever! I have to admit, when I first arrived at the Los Angeles Coliseum for the first day of the two-day festival, I felt a little overwhelmed. There were thousands upon thousands of people dressed in crazy outfits, including girls in tutus and fishnets and shirtless guys with neon body paint. The music was so loud I could feel my bones shake and the amusement park rides made me feel like I was Alice in Wonderland. I was in sensory overload! Luckily, all it took was a few minutes at the main stage (one of five!) to fully embrace what turned out to be the most epic weekend of my life. Thanks to HollywoodLife.com, I was one of the lucky few to have an exclusive media pass that gave me backstage AND VIP access, of which I took full advantage, of course. [Cheshire Cat-like smile]. Later, I chilled in the VIP area with some new friends enjoying the music. Perched in my place high above the crowd with free drinks and food galore on comfy sofas (my feet were SO sore from dancing by then) I had the perfect view to catch the last acts of the night. – as well as a fireworks display! Good music, new friends, dancing and VIP access — who could ask for anything more? |

I can’t believe they even let HollywoodLife cover EDC. Thanks for really “exclusive” coverage, Celia. How about some journalism about the actual music and not your petty misconceptions of raves?
I bet you couldn’t even name two songs from your “favorite DJ”‘s set. Unless he is Will.I.Am or something completely mainstream.
Go “cover” a David Guetta concert next time.
