Jessica tries yet another diet but claims it is not about her weight! Are you buying this?

Jessica Simpson has adopted a new severe diet according to her Twitter, but says it does not have anything to do with her desire to lose weight! Jessica tweeted Sunday night, “Shocked my system with a vegan diet, special Pu-erh tea from China, and cupping since friday! Who am I right now? This might be too clean!” Vegan diet, tea, and cupping — it sounds like Jessica’s trying to mimic diet and fitness fanatic Gwyneth Paltrow!

The singer/reality star/failed actress/Price of Beauty creator went on to say, “Has anyone ever tried cupping? When u know you are doing something good for ur body the meditation creates intense visions. Love it!” Intense visions? Probably not a great feeling for most people Jess.

If you will remember, Gwyneth, who has long extolled the virtues of her macrobiotic diet, made headlines in 2004 when she attended a film premiere with visible cupping marks.

This of course seems like another attempt for Jessica to get back to her super slim, and almost unhealthy, Dukes of Hazard weight. The Huffington Post reports that Jessica later wrote, “Just so everyone is clear.. this has NOTHING to do with weight! It is about understanding my body through hydration and alkalinty…” This tweet is for some reason now absent from her account.

It is great to understand your body Jess, but maybe through fruits, veggies, protein and exercise. When the “visions” come you know you’re on the wrong track!

What do you think HollywoodLifers? Is Jessica on a quest for spiritual body understanding or just trying to shed a few pounds?
