Figure out when and what to watch tonight as we tell you all the presenters, performers, and surprises of the night!
Get ready for tonight’s BET Awards, hosted by Queen Latifah, with a look at the performances you can expect to see, the surprise appearances, and who will be there to hand out the awards! As for Bieber Nation, the young Canadian pop phenom and nominee will not be in attendance tonight, but here’s who you can expect!
The show will open with Kanye West performing “Power,” followed by Latifah’s introduction and then Jada Pinkett Smith presenting R & B Artist. Next up is Usher doing “There Goes My Baby,” Taraji P. Henson and Mike Epps presenting Female Hip Hop Artist, and then T.I. with special guest Travis Barker doing “Yeah Ya Know.”
Nia Long and Lorenz Tate will present Male Hip Hop Artists before mom to be Alicia Keys takes the stage for a medley of “No One” / “Try Sleeping” / “If I Ain’t Got You” / “Unthinkable.”
Then, after the presentation of the Shining Light recipient and a bit between Queen and T.I., Eminem takes the stage with BOB and Keyshia Cole for “Airplanes” before he preforms “Not Afraid,” backed by a choir.
Other major performances, in order, include Diddy – Dirty Money doing “Oh Let’s Do It” and “Hello Good Morning,” a Michael Jackson tribute presented by Randy and Jermaine Jackson, Drake and Young Jeezy “Fireworks” / “Over” / “Lose My Mind,” and Trey Songz doing “Yo Side Of The Bed” and “Purple Rain.” And there’s more!
The Prince tribute, the evening’s lifetime achecivement winner, will feature performances by Janelle Monae (“Let’s Go Crazy”), Esperanza Spalding (“If I Was Your Girlfriend”), Alicia Keys (“Adore”) and the LEGENDARY Patti LaBelle (“Purple Rain”). Patti & Chaka Khan will then introduce Prince who is performing!
To end the night Ludacris and DJ Khalid, along with Tommy Lee, Diddy, Busta Rhymes, and the USC Marching Band will take the crowd out with “My Chick Is Bad” and “All I Do Is Win.”
