Mel Gibson has filed for a restraining order against his ex-girlfiriend and mother of his seven-month-old daughter, Oksana Grigorieva, over issues relating to visitation of their child. But now Oksana says the actor is not fighting fair and she has filed a restraining order of her own alleging domestic violence, according to TMZ.com.
Mel Gibson, 54, broke up with Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva, 40, in April and at the time of the split they said intended to raise their daughter, Lucia, together. The relationship has since become strained.
Grigorieva’s lawyers went to Los Angeles family court Monday asking for an emergency hearing. Her representatives told the judge that Gibson had been “extremely violent” with her earlier this year, and the Lethal Weapon star has since been ordered to have no contact with the Russian singer.
A Gibson source dismissed Grigorieva’s allegations, saying the alleged violence occurred in January and that she traveled extensively with him afterward. The source told TMZ, “In these cases, when somebody cries wolf, the judge is mandated to assume there’s a wolf, until a full hearing can be held.”
RadarOnline is reporting that Mel’s restraining order is sealed, which means that documents cannot be released to the public, but that sources told the gossip website there are three key issues in the case, along with Gibson’s access to his daughter.
Gibson filed a temporary restraining order, a notice about a forthcoming court hearing and a notice of visitation rights and child custody, RadarOnline reported.
Caught outside of her California home, Oksana told the website, “What has been written is not true..there’s not much I can say right now because it’s a child custody issue, and my lawyers have told me not to talk.”
