Hey BFFs! Did you catch Jimmy Kimmel’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart” special last night? It was hilarious and the whole Eclipse cast looked amazing!
While we’re used to seeing Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner looking serious and brooding in the Twilight series, they were all hysterical June 24 — they had hundreds of screaming Twi-hards in stitches!
As expected, lots of jokes were made about Taylor’s ripped body. Jimmy Kimmel even brought out the Jacob Black action figure (which, of course, was only wearing pants to show off his abs) and Jimmy said, “They didn’t give you any clothes!”
Rob even joked that when Edward would try to grab Jacob during scenes he couldn’t fit his hand around Taylor’s bicep! Rob said, “I literally couldn’t do it. I was holding onto his t-shirt flailing about.”
K-Stew and Taylor also shared some details about promoting Eclipse in South Korea and said how fun and “relaxing” the trip was. They even did karaoke together! Taylor claimed, “the hit of the night was ‘The Climb’” by Miley Cyrus (which we know is one of K-Stew’s faves) but Kristen corrected him and said “No it was ‘Party in the USA.’”
And I bet you’re wondering how The Jersey Shore cast fit into the Eclipse special? Well Kimmel joked that THEY were the original actors chosen for the movie! In the segment, Snookie plays Bella while “The Situation” plays Edward. In the Jersey version of Eclipse, Bella takes shots of vodka and eats a pickle cake on her birthday, while Edward sleeps in a tanning bed instead of a coffin! Pretty ridiculous — and so funny!
A few lucky fans got to ask the cast questions and the female stars joked about how no one in the audience “was screaming” for them — only for the boys!
The whole cast seemed very close and chummy, especially newbies Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel! Are they just close friends or could they be the next R-Patz and K-Stew? I guess we’ll just have to keep our eye on them!
We can’t wait to see all our favorite Twilight characters in ‘Eclipse’. The action clips looked amazing and the cast seems just as excited for the movie as we are!
