Now we get why Rob is able to play Twilight vampire Edward Cullen so well – he’s actually related to Dracula’s real-life inspiration, Vlad the Impaler!
Does Robert Pattinson want to suck your blood? It shouldn’t surprise you if he does: as it turns out, Rob, who plays the gorgeous and brooding vamp Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga, is a descendant of the inspiration for the world’s most famous vampire: Dracula!
“Pattinson and the Transylvanian leader (real name: Vlad III Dracula) are connected through their relationship with the British royal family,” thus making “Prince Harry and Prince William distant cousins and Vlad the Impaler their once distant uncle,” Ancestry.com genealogist Anastasia Tyler notes.
She added, “Tracing Pattinson’s family back to Vlad was diffifcult research, but the pieces that unraveled created the perfect accompaniment to the Twilight Saga.”
So not only is the world’s hottest vampire distant British royalty, but he also has vampire blood in his veins! BLOODY HOT!
Twi-Hards, now that R-Patz is now known to be descended from royalty AND a real-life vamp, doesn’t that make YOU want him even MORE?

So, does this mean he’s also related (probably indirectly) to Countess Elizabeth Bathory (Vlad Dracula’s cousin who was married into his family)? I believe they were either 83 or 84 years apart.
