They were already sharing a sleeping bag, but K-Stew and Taylor still weren’t close enough for the Twilight creator.

We were all over the cast of Eclipse when they returned to Vancouver in May for last-minute reshoots — and now we know why they had to do them all! “When Bella [Kristen Stewart] and Jacob [Taylor Lautner] climb into the sleeping bag together, he didn’t put his arm around her,” Twilight author Stephenie Meyer told MTV News on June 24 during the premiere of Eclipse at LA’s Staples Center. She needed them to do it again, but closer!

“So simple,” she assured fans. “Simply a blocking issue. … I wasn’t there that day to hold it. So we went in and put that in and it was really well done.”

Wow, we heard there was going to be an intense scene between Bella, Jacob and Edward (Robert Pattinson) in Eclipse, but we had no idea it was going to go this far!
