Vienna Girardi and new man Gregory Michael really DID meet for the very first time at a charity event last Saturday — and the two had instant chemistry! Here’s what went down…

Vienna and Gregory were both ‘talent’ at the Children’s Oncology Prom at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County June 19 and, along with celebrities including cast members of The Hard Times of RJ Berger, actress Izabella Miko and Miley Cyrus’ ex Justin Gaston, were shuttled down to the gala in a private car. “They sat next to one another on the way to the event and hit it off immediately,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, adding, “They were flirting pretty heavily during the ride and things moved pretty quickly from there.”

The two hung out almost exclusively throughout the night, dancing, laughing and having a great time. Says our source, “Early on in the evening, Gregory asked Vienna about her [engagement] ring. She told him she was wearing it to keep up appearances for the show and kept on repeating that it was ‘over, over, over.’ She swore up and down that she and Jake [Pavelka] had split.”

After the 24-year-old The Bachelor winner declared herself to be a single gal and their mutual attraction was officially established, she and Gregory made plans to meet up at Pacsun’s Summer Solstice Beach Ballyhoo in Santa Monica, Calif. the next day, where they were spotted kissing and cuddling by fellow concertgoers.

The 29-year-old Greek star, who a second source calls an “awesome, honest, genuinely nice guy”, jetted off to Venezuela for a pal’s wedding June 21, so has missed most of the hype over his newfound relationship with Vienna. However, our insider does tell us that he’s “a little freaked out by all the attention, but he does genuinely like Vienna, who likes him just as much.”
