BFFs, we just read Katy’s tweets saying that she got hurt while performing at the MuchMusic Awards! But we don’t know how it happened … any ideas?
Katy Perry, we hope you’re okay! The stunning brunette was just in Toronto, Canada, June 20 for the MuchMusic Awards, and it turns out she got pretty banged up. Although the songstress made light of the injury by tweeting, June 22, “17 stitches later, don’t make fun of my dance moves tomorrow,” says Katy. “That’s what got me here in the first place! Thanks for the souvenir Canada.”
17 stitches?! What in the world happened? Did it happen during Katy’s grand entrance when she arrived on the ice cream truck in that itty bitty blue little number? Or maybe it happened during her performance dressed as Bettie Page?
Either way we hope she’s not too cut up about the whole thing!

She got the stitches while dancing at a club, according to a news report. I know for sure though, that she definitely didn’t get the injury during the actual award show. It’s also being reported that the stitches are on her leg.
