Thought these two lovebirds were kissing and canoodling over a candlelit dinner? Think again – they were talking about work!

Talk about mixing business and pleasure! Ryan Seacrest is the hardest-working man in Hollywood, so it’s only natural that any woman he’d date would have to enjoy the biz as much as he does! Good thing, then, that his newest lady love, former Dancing With the Stars pro Julianne Hough, doesn’t mind when her man talks shop. In fact, the two talked about HER latest project during their most recent dinner date!

The two met up – arriving separately – at Mexican eatery Red O in LA June 16, and proceeded to talk about a new reality show Julianne, 21, may be starring in — and Ryan, 35, may be producing!

“They definitely appeared to be dating, but they also seemed to be doing business, too,” an eyewitness tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “They were both talking about a reality show revolving around Julianne and her quest to become a country star. They were also discussing how the show might revolve around movies or TV as well.”

But don’t worry – these two ARE an item, reassures our insider. “They may have been talking business, but they do definitely enjoy one another’s company. They were talking as if they’d known one another forever, but were still intrigued by what the other had to offer. I’d go as far as to say they were ‘lost’ in each other, and in their conversation. They never rushed anything; it was very much a date – and he paid the tab.”

Although there was no smooching or heavy petting, our source says they seemed to be watching themselves. “People were looking at them as if they were a potential couple, so they were definitely trying to be discreet, so they never held hands or touched. But there WAS endless eye contact, and they were completely flirty!”
