Kate, it seems as though you’re having your body guard do a lot more than just keep you out of harm’s way. He’s playing daddy and temporary hubby now that you’re a single mom.

Kate Gosselin, you totally have a fill-in husband! Your bodyguard Steve Neild is by your side at all times, and now you’re even letting him make major decisions at home. You and Steve were spotted in your front yard June 14 talking with landscapers about redesigning your lawn. Though we know the encounter was being filmed for the second episode of your new show Kate Plus 8, we have to admit it’s sort of an odd photo op. We knew Steve was helping protect you and the kids … but since when does the bodyguard make decisions about where you plant your rose bushes?

HollywoodLifers, there’s always been major speculation that Kate and Steve were more than just friends, but the two just chalk it up to being buddies. In Kate’s defense, she’s invited Steve and his wife Gina over to celebrate holidays with her and the kids AND referred to them as some of her closest friends.

But it seems there is some hubby sharing going on. Now that Kate’s a single mom, she’s having Steve do a lot more. Not only does Steve accompany Kate on every trip, press appearance, and most outings, but he’s also at the house all the time. On the first episode of Kate Plus 8 we saw A LOT more of Steve than we have before. The once-quiet bodyguard was picking up the slack as the male figure in the little Gosselins lives … and we were very surprised. Not to mention, it was recently reported that he helped Kate decide what size breasts to get when she got a boob job!

We wonder if Steve’s wife is totally cool with sharing her hubby with Kate — it sounds like a full-time job.
