Following his DUI arrest early Wednesday morning, the ‘American Pie’ actor checks himself into a facility in Utah.
Chris Klein is taking action after he registered a .2 blood alcohol level last week by flying out to a rehab facility in Utah. A rep for the 31-year-old actor released a statement saying, “After recent events, Chris was forced to take a clear look at a problem he has been trying to deal with himself for years.”
Chris, who rose to fame with roles in films like Election and American Pie, was engaged to actress Katie Holmes before she married now husband Tom Cruise. His roles have been limited to smaller films in recent years and his two year relationship with Ginnifer Goodwin ended in 2008.
Chris’ rep also commented, “He understands now that he can not beat this disease alone. He thanks everyone for their support as he takes all the necessary steps to deal with his addiction and asks for privacy while doing so.”

Don’t sue me, but I have always thought Suri Cruise looked more like Chris than Tom. They’re almost twins. Glad he is taking care of himself.
