Disney’s own market research shows that the Jonas Brothers are losing out in popularity with tweens (that’s 11 and 12-year-olds) to Taylor Lautner & the rest of the ‘Twilight’ crew!

The Jonas Brothers’ new show — Jonas L.A. — has been totally revamped from the first season of the brothers’ adventures. Could it really be because the kids that loved them so much just a year or two ago have moved onto a different set of teen idols, like a certain 16-year-old Canadian pop-prince?

The Daily Beast reports that the JoBros “are feeling all the more stale in comparison to a fast-rising 16-year-old like Justin Bieber” — click here to read the entire, and highly provocative, story!

edit: Perhaps people wont be so quick to suggest that these short lived pop stars are going to have the staying power of the old musicians” (accidentally added never. Which makes the opposite point)

Yep. I saw this coming from a mile away. I just hope people have accepted that none of these new bands are going to be “The Next Beatles.” (I remeber hearing people say that of the Jonas Brothers and thinking “Yeah, come back 40-50 years from now and we’ll see.”) Perhaps people won’t be so quick to suggest that these short lived pop stars are never going to have the staying power of the old musicians. Its been plauging the 2000’s (and I doubt it will change in the 2010’s.)

Although I hope it would, I highly doubt anybody will have learned from this. Im sure the next boy-band to come along will be refered to as “The next beatles.”
