We thought you had to actually be working to retire but hey, who are we to judge.
Delightful young actress Amanda Bynes has taken to her twitter to announce she is retiring from acting! “I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first I’ve #retired,” the actress posted early Saturday morning. We would likely make that same decision had our last film been Sydney White.
We were a bit skeptical to follow this story as we assumed her twitter had possibly been hacked but posts this morning wishing her dad a Happy Father’s Day present evidence to the contrary.
Amanda got her start on Nickelodeon, getting her own show before going on to star in flicks including What A Girl Wants, which everyone in the world loves but won’t admit, and the soon to be released Easy A with Emma Stone.
While this is somewhat upsetting news the silver lining is that Amanda has now made it okay to retire from professions you aren’t really working at anymore, or at all. I am officially retiring from being a lawyer.
