If you thought it was strange that Michelle Obama and Ryan Seacrest would be going out on a dinner date, you’re not alone. HollywoodLife.com can confirm that the two did NOT have a premeditated meeting, but DID have an encounter at LA eatery Mozza Osteria June 14 — all at the request of Obama daughters Sasha and Malia!
“Michelle was at the restaurant having dinner with four other adults, including her handlers, and her daughters. They were left alone and in privacy. People who had pre-existing reservations were allowed to keep them, but anyone coming in off the street was asked to go to an adjoining pizza joint,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com.
Cue Seacrest. “Word got out that Ryan was in the building, and the daughters wanted to meet him. They noticed him right away,” says our source. “Which was arranged. Ryan invited the whole family to a future taping of American Idol, which they were over the moon about.
“Sasha was the most excited to see Ryan. He was joking with the girls that they should be judges on the show. They loved every minute of it – he was so charming!”
The Obama girls weren’t the only ones charmed by Ryan. According to our insider, “Michelle was fully relaxed. She was in tremendous spirits, especially when Ryan was there.”
The 35-year-old Idol host left an hour before the Obama family, who continued to relax at the restaurant. While Sasha, 9, and Malia, 11, drank soda, Michelle, 46, sipped at red wine. They entire table sampled fare from four-to-six course tasting menu before calling it a night.

It totally clear that Bonnie has issues with the first lady. Michelle’s not the problem, Bonnie has issues. The tone of the article is the women were enamored w/Ryan. Isn’t it possible that Ryan was honored to have an opportunity to interact w/the first family? Ryan Seacrest is host on a here today gone tomorrow talent show. The impact of the first family is the stuff of history books. Give crdit where credit is due.
