Lindsay needs all the help she can get. Although she’s hired new help after her old assistant quit last Wednesday, her dad says can only rely on her family can help her now

We know what Lindsay Lohan is going to say when she hears this: “Oh, PLEASE.” Her estranged father, Michael Lohan, has a very definite idea of who Lindsay should be surrounding herself with after her longtime assistant, Eleanore, quit June 9 — and he says she shouldn’t seek help from anyone outside of her immediate family.

“The only people who come to mind that I know and trust would be my daughter, Ali, or my son, Michael,” papa Lohan told HollywoodLife.com exclusively via email. “Both have Lindsay’s best interests at heart.”

He added, Unfortunately, Ali [16] is a bit too young and she doesn’t need to be around Lindsay’s environment, and Michael is just graduated from college and has serious job offers.”

So basically, what you’re saying, Michael, is that Lindsay can only be helped by her family, who actually can’t help her at all?

We guess the hard-partying 23-year-old, who’s currently wearing a SCRAM for missing a mandatory court appearance May 20, actually did the smart thing for a change by hiring a new helper this week!
