Regardless of her haircut, Kristen Stewart has been brunette for as long as we can remember her — but now she says she’s returning to her roots!
Kristen Stewart had romantic brown ringlets in the Twilight films and a dark, shaggy rocker ‘do in The Runaways. But now the young starlet tells PopSugar she’s going au natural and returning to her blond roots for her latest role as a drifter in On the Road!
K-Stew confided during the Eclipse convention in LA June 12 that she will dye her brunette locks a “dirty/strawberry blond” as pictured here in 2002′s The Panic Room, to play MaryLou, the wife of drifer Dean Moriarity in the big screen adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s 1957 novel.
What else can HollywoodLife.com tell you about the 20-year-old actress’ latest role? She’ll start filming with Kirsten Dunst and Garrett Hedlund in July as soon as her Eclipse promotional duties are over and done with. Additionally, Kristen says of her new part, “I’m playing Marylou in On the Road, which I’m over the moon about! It was my first favorite book and the character is iconic. Walter Salles is directing and I’m a huge fan of his. We start a 4-week beatnik bootcamp where we read everything!”
Beatnik bootcamp? Sounds right up K-Stew’s alley!
