Kate and the kids play school and build a chicken coop over the weekend! These kids need a break!

It looks like there is no rest for the Gosselins as Kate and the kids filmed their new show Kate Plus 8 at their Pennsylvania home this weekend after a long week in school! The clan was spotted playing a game of school in the driveway, riding their mini cars around the yard, and, to top it all off, building a brand new chicken coop. Those kids must be exhausted!

Kate’s recent debut special for Kate Plus 8 drew in a record 3.4 million viewers, good news for the next special on July 11. Kate had previously complained about having to shoot the kids birthday party for that special, but it looks she is having no problem making them work on the weekend.

Having the kids run around and film on the weekend may seem like a bit much, but is much better than sleeping on the floor at their stoner dad’s condo!

If the only way for these kids to have a decent lifestyle and pay for college is to work on a weekend then that is small price to pay I guess. Unfortunately, from outward appearances the parents like to blow money on their own lifestyles choices (like expensive apartments in NY,expensive weaves, etc). Too bad that money was earned off their children.

However, the family has to adhere to the same child labor laws as other child actors so I guess they don’t have it any worse than other children on TV.
