BFFs we got to meet the lovely and talented Paula Abdul, and she thinks Bret should be a judge on American Idol!
Paula Abdul is team Bret Michaels! The 47-year-old former American Idol judge thinks Bret should fill Simon Cowell‘s shoes as the next American Idol judge. We spoke to the gorgeous choreographer at the Tony Awards gift lounge, June 12, and she says Bret is the perfect fit!
“It takes someone who really really understands what it’s like for young people who want to make magic happen. If he were to take that position, I think he would fit the mold perfectly.”
The soon to be host of Got to Dance, offered up some advice for the Poison frontman as she was gushing over Sarah Chloe jewelry in the gift lounge.
“You’ve got to have passion and love for music,” she says. “You have to have a great vocabulary in music and be able to understand the greats that inspired you along the way in your career.”
Paula, who presented the Best Choreography award to Will Smith and Jada Pinkett‘s play Fela!, couldn’t resist snatching up a few Vera Bradley keychains to use as dog collars for her puppies! The ever gorgeous and always entertaining Paula definitely was a highlight of the star-studded event!

I feel Simon was great for being a judge in American Idol and Bret is great for being a rockstar. I agree with Kimmie. People that work in the same industry should knowhow the other people act on a daily basis etc… I know Simon was the best material and they should find someone with the same quality as him and experience. Goodluck with the show!
