Luckily, we have former Dancing With the Stars champ Karina Smirnoff to show — and tell — us how to get her fabulous figure through dance, diet and lots of exercise!

1. MIX IT UP!
Karina says: “If you go to the gym and do exactly the same routine over and over again, you’re going to see results in the first two or three weeks, but then you’re actually not going to see results [afterward] because your body adjusted to the workout level. You’re actually not going to get the benefits! So the main thing, in my opinion, is to constantly keep changing the workout. I do Pilates, I do Gyrotonics, I do my dance work out, I actually go to the gym and run around.”
2. CAN’T RUN ON THE BEACH? TRY THIS TREADMILL WORKOUT!
Karina says: “I do a whole 40 minute workout on the treadmill, only I change the incline, I change the speed, I change the way I run — forward, then you run backwards, then sideways. So a constant change of pace is a great way to start losing weight because your heart rate goes up; you start sweating bullets.”
3. JUST DANCE!
Karina says: “I think dancing is the best workout ever because you don’t feel like you’re working out. You’re having fun, you’re enjoying your dancing — especially if you have a really cute partner, then the time goes by like this! It’s always fun and if you have a great partner, dancing is probably the best, the sexiest and the easiest way to get in shape.
Karina says: “I do like ice cream. No matter how much of a diet I’m on, you can find sugar-free, fat-free [kinds]. I can devour a nice pint of mango sorbet. That and dark chocolate. No matter how much of a diet you’re on, studies say that dark chocolate helps you stay young — it has a lot of antioxidants — and if you have a little bit each day, it helps you stay young. I’m eating a ton of it now!”
