If you live in Colorado and would like to learn the craft of acting from the lead on a middling CBS comedy you’re in luck!
If you are an Aspen resident who likes to tread the boards you may want to head over to Theatre Aspen in the next two weeks for a session with their new drama coach, Charlie Sheen! TMZ reports, “Charlie will work at Theatre Aspen, a renowned professional theater, where he will coach actors, help in the fundraising department and perform various other tasks. Although it is work release, Charlie will not accept a salary.” No salary for a man who makes almost $2 million an episode for his mediocre comedy? How selfless!
While Charlie is certainly no Humphrey Bogart, or even his father Martin, maybe not even brother Emilio Estevez, his new role is part of his sentence for his Christmas Day domestic abuse charge and not talent based. A peek inside the actor’s Aspen cell also shows that he will be enjoying a roomy dorm area of sorts as opposed to a stark cell. Not that we are implying there is any sort of special treatment going on.
Charlie’s official sentence will be handed down on Monday at which point he is expected to head directly to the jail. This means he will likely begin his new theatre job on Tuesday. You have been warned Aspen.
