Pantene’s got a new look, formula and scent. Stacy London loves it and so does their new reality hair star, Marissa Hopson. I do too and here’s why!

One of the biggest names in hair care has gotten a complete makeover and I totally love it! This month, Pantene is unveiling a totally improved new line to replace all of its existing products. The new line boasts improved ingredients and targeted solutions for specific hair types. Plus, there’s a new delicious smell that I can’t get enough of. None of that old school Pantene smell we all grew up with. I’m currently addicted to the Fine Hair Solutions Flat to Volume shampoo and conditioner. They’ve been in my shower for almost a month and I continue to reach for them over the $30 salon brands sitting right next to them. Seriously, these new formulas are worth trying out ASAP.

I’m not the only one who thinks so. Celebrity hair stylist Danilo agrees. He’s been using the new products on his high-profile clients like Gwen Stefani and Katy Perry! On Gwen, before the MET Gala this year, “I applied the new Pantene Pro-V Color Nourishing Treatment, left it in for 5 minutes, and rinsed. I always opt to treat hair before a night of styling, especially on color-treated hair, so it is soft and appears in its healthiest form for the lights and cameras,” Danilo says.

To celebrate the new Pantene launches, the brand went on the search for their first reality hair star. The winner, Marissa Hopson from Ft. Lauderdale, appeared in a LIVE tv ad with What Not To Wear host Stacy London! Marissa’s been a die-hard Pantene fan her whole life. “I love the new formulas because they not only make your hair look shiny, beautiful, and fabulous but they also smell great! They definitely make your hair look healthy too!” Marissa says. So, what are her new must-have products? “My favorite products are the new Medium-Thick Hair shampoos and conditioners! I’ve been a Beautiful Lengths and Nature Fusion fan for some time but the Medium-Thick Hair formula gives my hair a gorgeous look and the smell is out of this world,” Marissa says. “I’m excited to win because it’s such an honor to represent a brand I firmly believe in and have been using for a really long time. Pantene is an amazing hair care company that has real results. My hair wouldn’t look as gorgeous as it does without Pantene,” she says. Check out the video below to meet Marissa! - Marta Topran

@Pria: From a design standpoint, I actually really like the new design…I still like the old one, but the new one is just as good…unfortunately, that’s all that’s good about the new product. I haven’t used it yet, and I won’t use it, because I can’t get past the nauseating smell of the new stuff. My hair is not really high maintenance, and I don’t NEED to buy Pantene because it’s the only kind that makes my hair nice…Tresemme and Herbal Essences make my hair just as nice. I CHOSE to buy it because it had the best smell that I LOVED that lingered hours after drying. I took a whiff of the new stuff out of the bottle…horrible! If you go to Pantene’s website, there are plenty of horrible reviews for the new products, too, and very little positive ones.

I love the new pantene products and scent but I hate the new packaging the old packaging was simple and looked nicer, this new packaging looks kind of cheap to me.
