Brooklyn Decker was right — Jen really IS the best BFF in the world!
Courteney Cox was surrounded by her closest friends when she won her first ever award at Women in Film’s 2010 Crystal + Lucy Awards June 1. But no one — including Cougar Town co-star Busy Phillips, Judd Apatow and wife Leslie Mann, or even hubby David Arquette — was more proud of Courteney than her long time BFF, Jennifer Aniston.
“Jen came tonight completely and utterly to support her best friend,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com, explaining that Jen, 41, just got back to Los Angeles from her Just Go With It movie shoot in Hawaii. “She was so proud of Court. They’ve been friends forever and she just wanted to be here for her when she accepted her first award.”
Although Courteney, 45, didn’t thank Jen directly during her acceptance speech for the Lucy Award, the long-time BFFs made eye contact and Jen clapped enthusiastically from her front row table, with her hands high in the air.
“Jen wanted this to be Court’s night…she won The Crystal Award here last year. Tonight she really didn’t want any attention,” the insider said. “She slipped in after the red carpet was pretty much packed up and sat down at the table next to Isla Fisher. She sneaked away before the show wrapped up — she was really keeping a low-profile.”
So low, in fact, that few people at the dinner even realized the actress was there! Dressed in a simple black dress with strappy black heels and sporting a shorter, new haircut, Jen enjoyed the food, endless flowing Jacob’s Creek wine and the company of her friends — and didn’t even show up on the jumbo-tron once.
“This was Courteney’s special night,” our source reiterated. “And Jen wouldn’t have missed it for the world.”

keeping a low profile is going to an award show and attempting to “steal” your BFF’s thunder? It should have been CCA’s night, but it always has to be about Jennifer. Don’t want to go into “photo assumption” but to me Cox doesn’t look too thrilled, just polite. And what new hair are you referring to? Looks exactly the same to me.
