Whoa! Bret Michaels Says He Was Offered Simon's Spot On 'Idol!' Should He Be The Next Judge? VOTE!

We’d love to see him at the judges’ table if he’s well enough to do it! What do YOU think?

Bret Michaels, 47, shocked concertgoers at Mississippi’s Hard Rock Hotel on May 28 with the announcement that he might be taking Simon Cowell‘s seat at the American Idol judges’ table next season! TMZ has footage from the concert of Bret, saying “I can’t say this is true yet, cause I don’t know. Next year they asked me to possibly be the judge on American Idol.”

While the timing of the announcement was definitely a shocker (doctors still don’t think Bret is ready to be back working hard) it’s sort of a logical move for Idol. Not only has Bret been a prominent figure in the music industry for years, but his time on Celebrity Apprentice skyrocketed the public’s awareness (and love) of him. Plus, he’s already been on the Idol stage once!

HollywoodLifers, do YOU think Bret would make a suitable replacement for Simon? Vote below!

Brett would fit in-he does know the music business and talent and if he was healthier I would vote for him to be the next judge BUT I did not vote because I did not care for the format-I think Brett should concentrate on his health right now. I like him a lot-he would be great for sure but again I say he should be given a clean bill of health before he attempts any new endevours. In the meantime I still would love to see Harry Connick Jr. in the judges seat-he is great!
