Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Is The New Megan Fox -- In 'Transformers 3' That Is!

The Victoria’s Secret model is taking over as Shia LaBeouf’s love interest — and her character may even be related to Megan’s butt-kicking student Mikaela Banes!

Who is the new Megan Fox? Director Michael Bay has cast 23 year-old Victoria’s Secret lingerie model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as Shia LaBeouf‘s (aka Sam Witwicky) love interest reports Access Hollywood. This comes just a week after Paramount Pictures confirmed on May 20th that Megan would not be returning for the third installment.

Other front runners for the role (HollywoodLife.com hears producers are trying to make Rosie’s character a relation of Megan’s Mikaela Banes), included Ashley Greene, Brooklyn Decker, Prince of Persia‘s Gemma Arterton, and of course Heidi Montag (or so she thought).

Gutsy Heidi made it her mission to get Bay to notice her for the role. Through Twitter, she sent Bay a home-made looking audition tape demonstrating that she wasn’t afraid to transform into the role of an expert shooter. Unfortunately, she tweeted it to a “fake” Michael Bay account. Hey, you got to hand it to her — at least she made a play to get her name on the casting list.

Unluckily for Heidi, Bay had his mind set on the VS supermodel. And according to IMDb, this is going to be Rosie’s acting debut — wearing “Angel” wings on runways are the closest things she has to acting credits to date!.

As for Megan — she wants Bay to know that he can have his new girl because “it was her decision not to return,” a representative told People on Megan’s behalf. But, “she wishes the franchise the best.”

Guess Rosie you better pick out an industrial-padded bra to prep for your Transformers role. Can’t wait to see you on the film’s July 1, 2011 planned release date.

Rose Huntington is NOT better looking than Megan Fox, or a BETTER actress for that matter. Actually I think Rose looks like a mix between Cameron Diaz and Rachel Weisz. Even if Megan Fox is not the prettiest girl in Hollywood, she draws more attention than Huntington.

If it’s all about the money, this was a poor decision.

@Robert: are you serious? Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is way less attractive than Megan Fox. Yes she is a topmodel but she is pretty anonymous like many others. Megan Fox has way more sex appeal and add to that the fact that she is way more known worldwide.
Michael Bay screwed it up completely. He has killed the Transformers franchise by firing Megan Fox for whatever silly reason. She insulted him? Who cares? He is a business man, he should think before doing anything, not acting like a little kid!
You never fire your main assets before or during filming.. you do that after!
This is a real mess.. Transformers3 is going to either flop or even bomb.

there is only one Megan Fox, she can’t act but is super sexy.

It’s true she’s probably not the best actress in the world but she’s one of the biggest trademarks of these movies. I see this movie being a spectacularly huge flop. I think Micheal Bay need’s to grow a pair and get her back.

Cant replace Megan any time soon.

It’s not that if the new topmodel plays a character related to Mikaela Banes it will work… it just won’t. Without the key character of Mikaela Banes and so Megan Fox the movie is going to flop for sure.
Characters consistency and continuity along with the plot from the first two movies will just not make sense anymore.
