After being rushed to the hospital May 27, the actor passed away this afternoon surrounded by family and friends.

Gary Coleman, 42, died May 28, after suffering an intracranial hemorrage May 26. Gary was immediately hospitalized in Provo, Utah, and shortly after slipped into a coma. His family decided to pull him off of life support earlier this morning and RadarOnline reports Gary passed away sometime this afternoon. His wife Shannon Price and father W.G. Coleman were by his side.

The Diff’rent Strokes actor, was listed in critical condition following a head injury sustained in a fall. TMZ reports: “Coleman was admitted yesterday — after he was transported from his home in Utah around 12:50 PM.”

This was not the first medical problem Gary had suffered this year. In February, the 42-year-old actor was rushed to the hospital when he began suffering a seizure while filming for The Insider. He was also hospitalized in January following another incident.

For the first time in his short life, Gary is finally in a peaceful, happy place. He is over the rainbow now where no one can hurt him again.
