The Melrose Place star has been cleared of charges that she allegedly mowed down a No Parking Sign near her home in Westlake Village, CA, and then fled.
Police have been investigating the sign hit and run since April 17th when the actress was arrested for misdemeanor hit and run after police determined that the vehicle that hit the sign belonged to Heather and her ex-husband Richie Sambora.
Ventura District Attorney Gregory D. Totten said in a statement Wednesday that “Insufficient evidence exists to establish who the driver of the vehicle was at the time of the collision. As a result, no criminal charges will be filed.”
Heather is currently serving a three-year probation term after pleading no contest to reckless driving following her DUI arrest in September 2008. The DUI charge in that case was dropped.
The Santa Barbara District Attorney told TMZ.com that this incident will not be a violation of her probation.
