Backstage at the Ellen show, the YouTube sensation revealed he couldn’t even name ONE Madonna song — let alone know who she is!

Thanks to little Greyson Michael Chance, we’re starting to feel REALLY old. Before taping his segment on the Ellen Show May 25, ‘Baby Bieber’ admitted to HollywoodLife.com’s insider he doesn’t have any idea who the Queen of Pop is — even though they share the same manager!

“I love Lady Gaga, she’s my inspiration. As for Madonna, I have no idea who that is,” Greyson told our source candidly. Shocked, our insider quickly set the 12-year-old straight, telling him, “Imagine the original Lady Gaga…that’s Madonna!”

Doesn’t Greyson know Madonna is his new manager Guy Oseary’s biggest client?

He knows who John Lennon is, so don’t say he doesn’t know his music history. On his tour he wore Bob Dylan, John Lennon and Motley Crue t-shirts. Just because he doesn’t know who she is doesn’t make him an idiot. He is a 12-year-old boy – name five boys his age who will openly admit they listen to Madonna.

I find it more pathetic that Madonna’s fans are pissed that some 12 year old doesn’t know who Madonna is. Did anyone ever consider that maybe his mom doesn’t like Madonna and therefore shielded her kid from anything Madonna related. Or maybe he’s heard her name before but didn’t bother looking her up because he doesn’t care about her. And why does it matter if he knows who she is or not? It’s not like she’s paying his bills or buying his clothes. The kid has to find out who HE is before he can find out who some 51 year old pop-tart is.

Ah… I’m not a fan of Madonna. I don’t care for her, but for this boy to arrogantly say that he doesn’t know Madonna is a joke. LOL…. He just ruined his career. By thd way, I’m 14 and I am Bieber fan! At least I know Bieber is straight unlike Gay boy Greyson who sings Lady Gaga.

If this kid doesn’t know who Madonna is…HE’S A FU**ING MORON! Regardless of how talented he is. And if Lady GaGa is the ONLY idol he has, that’s pretty pathetic and sad considering she’s only been around for 2 years. Jesus Christ, even Avril Lavinge and Katy Perry have been around longer than this chick. What is the fascination with this woman? She’s not that great, or as talented as people try to make her out to be. Obviously this kid knows nothing about music history. Even when I was a kid I knew who Tina Turner, Cher, Diana Ross and Stevie Nicks were. I may have viewed them as older women in the music biz, but I at least had the sense as a kid to realize they were older women who paved the way in the music business for younger artists, and they were legends. This just shows you how vapid, stupid and shallow this generation is, and how consumed they are with what’s current and disposable. In 10 years Madonna will still be around and people will be saying…Greyson who? He’ll be a has been at 22. Learn your history you little schmuck. Sad, sad, sad!

LOL…He’s probably one of the few who don’t know who she is. That’s funny because I know so many little kids who know who Madonna is. But seriously, even if you don’t know who the singer Madonna is, then he should at least know “The Madonna”. Dumb kid.

Who cares if he doesn’t know who she is. All kids learn about and are exposed to different things. There’s a -gasp-possibility he’s never heard one of her songs or liked them to learn who she is. He’ll know now.

This kid is a moran. I am 13 years old and not only do I know who Madonna is but I could name more than a dozen of her songs by the time I was 10. I dated three girls in my short life and all of them had at least one Madonna song on their i pod or had a fashion mag with Madonna on the cover. Unless of course, Greyson doesn’t like girls!

With the pipes of an angel and the hair of the Vampyre Justin Bieber, he’s bound to get to get to second base with all the swooning groupies his heart desires. Act now, eighth grade girls, before he turns thirteen and realizes your rapidly developing female bodies do nothing for him.

There is no way any 12 year old kid living in America does not know who Madonna is. Now I’m convinced Greyson Michael Chance is a closet case and secretly likes to dress up in a cone bra and blond wig and lip-synch to “Like A Virgin”
