Couldn’t you just picture Angie with green skin and a pointy black hat? We think she’d be GREAT!

We’re pretty tired of seeing our favorite classic movies being butchered by God-awful remakes… but an updated Wizard of Oz with Angelina Jolie as the Wicked Witch of the West? Now THAT’s a remake we could get behind! ”Angelina as the Wicked Witch would be perfect casting,” an Academy Award-winning casting director tells PopEater‘s Rob Shuter. Though there are a bunch of different Oz remakes in the works, Rob says Hollywood insiders are becoming really keen on the version that hopes to include Angie on a broomstick.

And this isn’t the first iconic evil role to come Angie’s way. Earlier this year, she was rumored to be starring in Maleficent, a new movie that will tell the “real” story of Sleeping Beauty’s evil fairy.

“She is not only the biggest movie star in the world, but Angie is also a brilliant actress who isn’t afraid to play someone evil,” Rob’s source continues. Agreed! We can hear Angie’s cackle now! BFFs, do you think she’d make a good Wicked Witch?
