Simon Monjack, the 39-year-old widower of actress Brittany Murphy, is found dead in his Los Angeles home!

Simon Monjack, the widowed husband of actress Brittany Murphy, was found dead in the master bedroom of his Los Angeles home Sunday evening of reported natural causes. Radar Online spoke with Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter who said, “this evening, Mr. Monjack was found unresponsive, paramedics responded to the house, he was pronounced dead at [9:45 p.m. Sunday].” This comes just 5 months after the December 20th death of wife Brittany.

While no illegal drugs were found on the scene, officers did find prescription drugs in the home – though they declined to name what they were. The preliminary cause of death is natural causes but a report will be issued following an autopsy and toxicology reports.

TMZ reports that it was Brittany’s mother, Sharon Murphy, who found Simon unconscious and called the paramedics. In an eerie twist, it was also Sharon who found her daughter Brittany unconscious and called rescue workers in December of last year.
