Nine of the top 12 Idols got together to celebrate the show’s season finale — and HollywoodLife.com has all the juicy details!

With non-stop rehearsals and seemingly never-ending shows, the American Idol finalists rarely have time to kick back their heels and enjoy a night on the town. However, with the May 26 season finale looming large, nine of the top twelve contestants were able to let loose, enjoy each other’s company and feast on tons of yummy, expensive sushi at Hollywood hotspot Katsuya.

Crystal, Paige and Siobhan were all too tired after rehearsals that day, but everyone else came,” an insider dished to HollywoodLife.com exclusively about the May 21 dinner. “Everyone was super friendly with each other and it was a complete family atmosphere. They were celebrating everything that is coming to an end and the tour that is about to start. It’s one of the last hurrahs before their ‘real lives’ start.”

Gauging from their orders — this group is VERY close, and has excellent taste!

“Everything was eaten together, family style,” our source told us. “They had lots of creamy rock shrimp tempura over spicy tuna rolls, tons of albacore with crispy onions, some baked hand crab rolls, yellowtail sashimi, spicy tuna over crispy rice and a couple orders of miso soup.”

Does that come with a side of vocal chops?
