Miss USA Rima Fakih finally addresses her controversial pole dancing photos!

Rima Fakih finally opened up about those pole dancing photos that surfaced just hours after she was crowned Miss USA with an interesting excuse – THAT it was early in the morning and she didn’t know there would be cameras!

The beauty queen was on Regis and Kelly this morning where she said: “I was 8:00 in the mroning and I didn’t know anyone would have a camera. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas … in my case ends up on YouTube.” At least she has a great sense of humor about it!

Rima goes on to say “it was a promotional event” and that the point was to “teach [girls] how to dance and feel sexy.” We think she definitely succeeded in looking sexy! Rima did not address her film Throbbing Justice, though the only real scandal there was the horrible acting.

As for going on to the Miss Universe pageant, Rima said she is ready to steal the crown back from the South American beauties who have long reigned in the competition. Given how she wowed the audience at the Miss USA competition we think this girl is a definite contender!

Rima might want to brush up on her astronomy, however. She jokingly said of the upcoming Miss Universe pageant: “That’s in Pluto.” In case you hadn’t heard, Pluto’s no longer a planet, sweetheart!
