Legendary television journalist and View host Barbara Walters underwent surgery to replace a faulty heart valve on Friday morning.
Shortly after the surgery a representative for Barbara Walters informed People magazine that: “[Her] surgery went well and the doctors are very pleased with the outcome.”
Barbara, 80, announced the surgery on her show earlier this week.
“Later this week, I’m going to have surgery to replace one faulty heart valve,” Walters said.
“You know how healthy I have been – never missed a day’s work.” She added, that she had “known of this condition for a while now.”
Recovery can be anywhere from a month to three months.
Get well Barbara. We can’t imagine the kinds of shenanigans the other ladies on The View will get up to while you’re gone.
