She’d be the oldest contestant yet — and who wouldn’t tune in every week to watch her get down?
Just days after her hilarious debut on Saturday Night Live, it’s being reported there’s another show DYING to get 88-year-old Betty White to perform live – Dancing with the Stars! Rob Shuter at PopEater cites a show insider who tells him: “Dancing With The Stars would love to have Betty White grace the dance floor next season. Not only would she guarantee great ratings, she would also make it easier for a lot of big celebrities — who up to now have been sitting on the fence — to sign on. There is no one bigger or more respected than Betty White.” This sounds like it could be an amazing idea!
Betty’s SNL appearance May 8 was not only one of the show’s funniest episodes, bust also drew the best ratings the program has had since 2008. DWTS is hoping that same magic can translate to their show, especially since their viewership has actually decreased over this season! Betty may seem a bit old for the program — she’s eight years older than this season’s oldest contestant, Buzz Aldrin — but if she can jive like she can joke she should have no problem competing with the show’s younger contestants.

now, betty would be great, but this show is so so stressful for even the young people. they seem to only care about their ratings, it is rigged, and betty, hopefully, will be wise enough to say no. snl is one thing but dwts is way too much for an 88 year old, even with betty white’s energy. this is my opinion. guess, ratings or not, you wouldnt want a health crisis from the stress and over extending work outs etc on dwts, or maybe you would get even better ratings. how selfish of dwts. GET RID OF NIECY NAGGY NASH TONIGHT OR WE WILL STRIKE….THIS IS RIGGED, AND SHE IS GETTING WAY TOO HIGH POINTS, ATTENTION, IS STILL ON, ONLY BECAUSE SHE WORKS FOR THE INSIDER. NOT FAIR TO THE REST , OR US, THE VIEWERS. SHOULD HAVE BEEN OFF A LONG TIME AGO.
