Thousands of screaming fans turned up in London for the premiere of the summer blockbuster!
Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton walked the red carpet May 9 for the world premiere of their upcoming film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Thousands of screaming fans showed up to the Westfield in London, reports the Daily Telegraph, which was transformed in to an ancient Persian City for the evening. While Jake received a majority of the fans’ attention, it was Gemma who stole the spotlight in a stunning Valentino gown.
The hot summer couple, who star as Prince Dastan and Princess Tamina in the film set to open May 28, were joined on the red carpet by co-star Ben Kingsley, as well as producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Mike Newell. Said 24-year-old Gemma of her character, “It’s nice to see a Disney princess that’s not a damsel in distress. She’s such a good role model for little girls who watch this.” The action-adventure film, based on the popular video game, tells the story of Prince Dastian and Princess Tamina’s battle against dark forces to protect a magical dagger.
