Although Bret’s sister says he won’t be out of the woods for at least six months, Holly knows he’s going to pull through because he’s a survivor!

Bret Michaels is improving little by little day by day after suffering a brain hemorrhage April 26, and Holly Robinson Peete couldn’t be happier!

“He’s a fighter, he’s a winner,” Bret’s Celebrity Apprentice co-star told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Television Academy Honors in Beverly Hills, Calif. May 5. “I’m praying for him and I know he’ll make it out of this little bump in the road.” She amended quickly, “Well, not little, but you know what I mean.”

The 45-year-old actress recalled the fist time she ever met the 47-year-old former Poison singer, and how shocked she was that he turned out to be such a sweetheart. “I was very surprised,” she said. “His spirit was strong and infectious. I was actually scared to meet him at first — he was the guy from Rock of Love and Poison! So I had this vision of him that was unwarranted. But he’s a sweet, sweet man and I find it impossible that he won’t make a full recovery. My prayers are with him every day.

Aw, we love that Bret has such great BFF’s on his side to help him through this horrific time. Although his sister said May 5 he isn’t out of the woods just yet, we know with his strength, perseverance and the power of good friends, he’ll be A-OK!
