Ellen Pompeo matches her shadow to her denim dress, do you love it?

Here are two things that should induce fear in any woman: blue eyeshadow and matchy-matchy makeup. Yet, somehow Ellen Pompeo manages to do both things simultaneously without entering tacky town. They Grey’s Anatomy star wore some seriously gorgeous silvery blue shadow to the American Cancer Society’s Choose You launch luncheon in NYC on May 5 that perfectly complemented her light denim dress. I love how her shadow picks up the tones of her dress but is sheer enough to not look garish. Don’t think that this is just for blues. Try doing a wash of sheer purple, pink or green to complement your spring wardrobe. It will look subtle and totally pretty, just like Ellen’s! - Marta Topran
