Elisabeth, you had the gall to attack Erin Andrews on The View yesterday, May 5, for wearing skimpy dance costumes on Dancing with the Stars, and the grace to apologize today — BUT do you realize how sexist you were being?

Elisabeth, when you told The View audience that Erin’s dangerous stalker, Michael David Barrett, who has been sentenced to jail for 2 1/2 years, should have just waited to see her skin on Dancing with the Stars, it was akin to blaming a rape victim for getting raped.

You implied that Erin had no business wearing sexy dance costumes, like other female contestants on Dancing with the Stars, because she had attracted a stalker.

Luckily your 5-year-old daughter Grace made you realize that you had been hurtful and that you needed to apologize to Erin, both publicly and privately. But here’s what I don’t think you’ve thought about this: Would you ever have criticized Erin’s dance partner Maksim for tearing off his shirt and dancing bare-chested, which he has done? Or criticized Chad Ochocinco for dancing with his handsome chest showing?

What if either of those men had stalkers? Men get them too! Would they also have been “responsible” for contributing to being stalked?

Elisabeth — you need to not just apologize but realize how ridiculous your double standards are.

Thank the Lord that Erin’s fellow DWTS castmates lept to her defense! “T’m the one designing [Andrews'] dresses for the show, so I’ll assume that [Hasselbeck] is jealous… and stupid…” said Maksim. “Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s comments about [Erin Andrews]. Insensitive, in poor taste and remedial and foolish,” tweeted Niecy Nash.

Listen, Elisabeth, I hope you NEVER have a stalker. But in event that terrible experience happens to you, I guarantee you that it will have had nothing to do with what you have worn!
