Jenny didn’t even go around the block in a yellow taxi while shooting the Today show April 19. But then again, she doesn’t have to now that she’s living the good life!

Jennifer Lopez may play a down-to-earth single mom-to-be in her new comedy, The Back-Up Plan, but that same attitude definitely doesn’t apply to her travel choices!

While appearing on the Today show April 19th, the 40-year-old singer/actress hopped into a cab to illustrate a one-day promotion for the film: anyone who took a cab plastered with The Back-Up Plan’s advertisement would get a free ride! Cool as a cucumber, J.LO sped away in NYC’s finest yellow taxi. Or so we thought!

“J.Lo didn’t actually go anywhere,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com. “After Matt deposited her in the backseat and she told him ‘This is the best way to get around New York.’, the show cut to commercial and she climbed out — and right into a beautiful white, chauffeured Maybach that cost $500,000!”

The greatest way around New York, hm? Although we don’t dig the hypocrisy, we’re with you on your luxury travel choices, Jennifer. Being a celebrity definitely has its perks!
