Forget about your problem areas! Whether you have curves like Kim or you’re lean like Kristin, you can look sexy & feel confident once you’re sporting the perfect swimsuit for your bod!

With May creeping up around the corner, it’s normal to get a little anxious at the thought of swimsuit shopping — lets face it, who wants to step out in a suit that they don’t feel totally comfortable in? Bradley Bayou, celeb designer and author of The Science of Sexy, is busy gearing up for the launch of his new collection on Q.V.C., but luckily he took some time out to offer up his expert advice on finding the perfect suit to fit your shape!

If you aren’t familiar with Bradley, he’s the former Creative Director and Head Designer for Halston and has crafted designs under his couture label, BRADLEY BAYOU, for A-listers like: Oprah Winfrey, Keira Knightley, Halle Berry, Debra Messing, Salma Hayek, Queen Latifah, Eva Longoria, Taraji Henson, Marcia Cross, Brittany Snow, and Beyonce Knowles. His ready-to-wear collection, BRADLEY by Bradley Bayou is available on Q.V.C., and the celeb designer is launching his latest collection on Q.V.C. on Apr. 28 at 6 pm.

Bradley understands that everyone has an area they aren’t thrilled with showing off, but with his pointers you can instantly look thinner and feel ready to strip down. So whether you’re trying to minimize, maximize, or conceal a certain spot, find out what suit you should seek on your next shopping trip!

If you’re trying to conceal your stomach/tummy area:
“Do pick either a high-waisted bikini or a one piece that will pull you in. Don’t pick a low rise bikini!”

If you want to cover up your lower back area/muffin top:
“Do pick a suit that doesn’t cut straight across the lower back – there are a lot of suits out there right now that have interesting cut-outs or choose a suit that comes up a little higher, closer to the waist. Don’t pick a low rise suit – this will only make the problem worse.”

If you have a big bust:
“Choose a suit with support, either a bra shaped or halter top with underwire will work best for you – chose a darker color on top with a brighter color or print on the bottom. You can choose a bikini or full piece depending on your mid-section and with either type of suite make sure any embellishments are on the lower half to balance your bust line.”

If you have a small bust:
“Do choose a halter or bandeau top, and suits that have their prints or embellishments on the top rather than the bottom, like ruffles or beading…which give the illusion of enhancing your natural bust line.”

If you don’t have a waist:
“Do choose a suit with a defined waist, either a one piece or two piece but make sure it has a defined waist – preferably with a belt in a contrast color. Don’t choose an empire waist or low cut bikini – it will emphasize your nonexistent waist.”

If you have short legs/torso:
“Do choose a suit with a high cut leg, the higher the better. No boy shorts for you!”

If you don’t have a butt:
“Do choose a suit with either a full skirt or gathers in the rear, don’t choose a boy short.”

If you have a big butt:
“Do choose a suit with lower cut legs /boy-short or a smooth a-line skirt. Don’t choose a high cut bottom.”

If you have wide hips:
“Do wear a high cut leg with a high waist if you want to show your legs, however if you’re not into that then you can always go for an A-line skirt.”

How to avoid a saggy bottom:
“Make sure you get a bottom that fits your bottom…. that way the fabric is cut to suit your figure and you will not end up with the saggs.”

My name is Debbie Maher and I have been trying to email Bradley Bayou and hope you can help me? Bradley has been wanting to meet me for sometime as I know this because he is on QVC and I heard him say that he wrote this book for women who are curvy like me. I am hoping this is the right time to write as I know everyone knows who I am and Bradley I always found to be quite a man but I thought if I contacted him he probably just would want to play but I know he knew this was not what I wanted. Could you please tell Bradley that I would love to meet him one of these days and thank him for being so honest by saying all men like women with curves. I don’t think he meant that for just me as their are many women that have lovely figures and are curvy as well. I am going to tell you something I know about Bradley and his daughter which I think is very nice and I know that not many people know this. Bradley loves his daughter so much that he went into fashion designing because he wanted her to feel that she was so special that he would do anything for her. I think he must be a very kind and compassionate man. I hope that he can get back to me when he has the time as I would love to hear from him. Thank you for your time…Debbie Maher
