She says she could never have made it through childbirth without the love & support of hubby Marc Anthony!

Jennifer Lopez, 40, may play a single mom-to-be in her comedy The Back-Up Plan, but she tells the UK’s Daily Mail she could never see herself using in vitro fertilization to get pregnant on her own in real life. “It takes a lot of bravery to have a child on your own,” she says. “I have a girlfriend who did it and I really admire her. Especially knowing how much help you need. … I would like to think that I’m strong enough to do that, but honestly, I don’t know if I could.”

And she says the comedy in the movie came naturally, as she’s all-too-familiar with the everyday humor that comes from being pregnant. Her own twins, Emme and Max, were born in Feb. 2008. “I wanted to put as much in as we could that was real: the overeating, the burping,” she says. “Why not? It’s funny too. Pregnancy and giving birth are weird, strange. The growing life inside you — it’s like an invasion of the body snatchers.”

Wow… I guess pregnancy is kind of weird. Thanks for giving us something to think about J. Lo!

What do you think, BFFs — do you think you could handle becoming pregnant without someone special in your life like J. Lo’s Back-Up Plan character? Or would you need your man by your side, like J. Lo herself?
