You got your wish HollywoodLife! Aziz Ansari will host the MTV Movie Awards this year! Are you psyched?

In case you need another reason to watch the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, now you have one. Hilarious Parks and Recreation star Aziz Ansari will be hosting this year’s show!

And it looks like HollywoodLife.com readers got their wish! 67%  of you wanted to see him host the awards, scheduled for June 9. In a statement, Aziz said, “I’m so happy Ronnie from ‘Jersey Shore’ was unavailable and this exciting opportunity was able to come my way.” Ha!

MTV general manager Stephan Friedman praised the comedian, saying “Our audience fell in love with Aziz on Human Giant. They followed him to the movies, TV and stand-up, and connect with him daily online. Aziz is the perfect host for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, as he will bring his innovative comedy and distinctive style to the movie industry’s most rebellious night on television.”

Hopefully Aziz will bring his DJ Roomba to the awards!
