Lindsay Lohan has tried selling her clothes, hosting events at nightclubs, and even launching a line of leggings and spray tans to try and bring in some cash. But that hasn’t helped the struggling starlet — who hasn’t had a hit since Mean Girls in 2004 — climb out of credit card debt.
While Lindsay is planning to star in the new Robert Rodriguez flick Machete, she hasn’t started filming on it yet, and according to a report on RadarOnline, the starlet owes $600,000 in credit card debt — and she can’t stop shopping! “She hasn’t cut back on her spending,” the website reports. “And is now over half a million dollars in debt.” A source tells Radar, “One card cut her off last week and it’s only a matter of time before all her other credit cards cut her off too.” Lindsay, you really need to get it together!
It’s not that surprising that Lindsay can’t stop shopping. She has displayed addictive behavior in the past, going to drug and alcohol rehab three times. Plus, as HollywoodLife.com experts told you, her compulsion to collect things she doesn’t use is a sign that she may be hoarding many of the things she buys.
Hopefully Lindsay will be able to make a comeback with a great scene-stealing performance in Machete and get back on her feet. Do you think it’s possible? —Corynne Steindler

as much as i bash her, i would be ecstatic if she pulled one out. i don’t think she really believes in herself right now, and maybe some success would do a lot to stopping the madness. MAYBE. there are young actresses that you know have the potential to be the next meryl streep (e.g., dakota fanning), and i don’t think that’s lindsay, but, at the very least, she was a competent actor on multiple occassions, and with the right subject matter should be able to do a decent job. anything that could clean up that mess, i’m all for.
