After having just written about braids being everywhere yesterday, lo and behold, Hilary Duff showed up to Good Housekeeping’s 125th Anniversary party in NYC on Apr. 12 sporting a gorgeous braided bun. There are so many things I love about her take on spring’s most ubiquitous trend. Firstly, the height in the front. It lends softness to the overall look and is super flattering since it’s not slick to her head. The wispy pieces coming down by her ears add to the romantic, easy feel of the updo as well. Lastly, the fishtail braid that has been wrapped around itself in the back is truly unique. I’ve seen a lot of regular braids pinned up into a bun but Hilary’s fishtail version is totally unexpected and oh so pretty. – Marta Topran
