WATCH & TELL US! Tiger's Nike Ad with Late Dad: Stern Public Scolding or Cheap Grab for Sympathy?

Nike unveiled its latest TV spot starring Tiger Woods, and it’s sure to get everyone very riled up.

In the 30-second spot, which debuted one day before Tiger’s big debut at the Masters tomorrow, Tiger looks intently into the camera as a voiceover of his late father, Earl Woods, who died nearly four years ago, asks him three questions.

“I want to find out what your thinking was … what your feelings are, and did you learn anything?”

Unfortunately for Nike , the commercial was filmed on the grounds of the  exclusive Isleworth  Country Club in Tiger’s hugely upscale  Florida community. Well now, it’s been revealed that Tiger launched his pursuit of his then 21 year-old alleged 17th mistress by inviting her to golf at that club. Later that night, after inviting her to a party, he invited her back to his office for a two-hour sex session. Seems to me that having the club be revealed  as another cheating location undermines the whole point of this ad, which was supposed to be part of Nike’s attempt to rehab him!

Now watch the clip, speak your mind, and vote!

Brilliant. Doesn’t matter what you think of Tiger. It’s all about Nike.

I think it was fine although I kept expecting him to say something. I couldn’t read that much into it or just don’t care. And I didn’t know that golf course had anything to do with another mistress since I’m not the press & not one to go around digging dirt up.

Men do not have to own the: slot, crack, crevice, gash, slit, split, gap, exit, mouth, outlet, entrance, inlet, armhole, peephole, and wormhole. They can rent it like every other commodity.

Seriously? Does anyone not recall what a cad Tiger’s dad was? He cheated on Tiger’s mom for years. Given his history, this commercial seems awfully hypocritical. If anything, Tiger’s dad should say, “Well, son, I guess the apple doesn’t fall very far from the tree after all.” As for Tiger allegedly “changing” – don’t you think it’s a little early to make such claims? He knows his every move is being followed…there’s no way he can possibly cheat now and expect to get away with it. It means he isn’t a moron. Not that he’s suddenly a decent guy.

WELL, AT LEAST HE IS COVERING HIMSELF SO HE WONT, GUESS THAT MEANS SOMETHING, SINCE IT TAKES 3-5 YEARS TO BE ON THE WAY TO REAL RECOVERY WITH SEX ADDICTION. GUESS IT IS LIKE A SOBER COACH WITH ALCOHOL AND DRUGS. EVEN THE 90 BODY GUARD IN CASE ONE OF HIS MISTRESSES SHOWS UP AT THE MASTERS.
ONE THING IS FOR SURE: ELIN SHOULD BE HAPPY, AND FEEL SECURE THAT SHE IS GUARANTEED WHILE HE IS EARLY IN RECOVERY THAT HE IS DOING 100% TO COVER HIS BASES. I THINK THAT IS BEING RESPONSIBLE.

Nike definitely made the right choice with this one. They are trying to get fans to feel sorry for their sponsor. Even though I think he is trash!

I DONT THINK IT WAS TO FEEL SORRY FOR TIGER OR A STERN PUBLIC SCOLDING…NEITHER. I THINK IT WAS GREAT. IT WAS ALL ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT HERE AND NOW. JUST EXACTLY WHAT HIS DAD EARL WOULD ASK TIGER ABOUT WHAT HAS GONE ON WITH HIM, WHILE HE HAS BEEN AWAY FROM GOLF, AND NOW THAT HE IS BACK, AND TIGER , TO ME, JUST LOOK LIKES IT IS A SOBERING EXPERIENCE. THE WHOLE THING, PARTICULARLY HEARING WHAT HIS DAD WOULD HAVE ASKED HIM. HE HAS AND IS CHANGING, TIGER. GIVE HIM SO CREDIT. I BELIEVE THESE CHANGES WILL STICK..
