Will Simon Cowell, 50 wait until 2011 to get married to his make-up artist fiancée Mezhgan Hussainy, 36 — just to capitalize on a good p.r. moment?

“The timing of the wedding would coincide with the debut of his new show, X Factor,” according to CBS News (via The New York Post). Cowell “is the king of spin and knows that a great love story will help sell the US version” of the show.

“Expect no wedding this year at all,” a source told CBS. “2011 is the year of Simon in the US and he will pull out all the stops needed to become an even bigger success.”

And here we were thinking that Simon had gone all soft a mushy now that he’s in love! Do you really think his engagement is all for publicity? Or is he really in love, and the timing is all a coincident?
