Everyone who saw Precious knows Gabourey Sidibe can do drama — but can she do comedy? We’ll find out, according to an E! Online source, when she hosts Saturday Night Live on an as-yet-unannounced date.
Precious star surprised EVERYone this awards season with her raunchy, hilarious red-carpet banter, and we’re betting SNL chief Lorne Michaels noticed … and signed her up!
Though the date hasn’t yet been confirmed, it’s absolutely not going to take place this weekend or next — so says the calendar. Jennifer Lopez is hosting this Saturday, Apr. 3, and Tina Fey and Ryan Phillippe will host the following on Apr. 10. So that only leaves three open dates until Betty White‘s big May 8 appearance.
She will be starring in Showtime’s up-coming new dramatic comedy, The Big C, which premieres Mon., Aug 16.
