It’s been a pretty crazy eight years — or, should we say eight “days?” It’s hard to keep up!
Yes, it’s true. After eight wild seasons on FOX, 24 will air its final two-hour episode at 8 p.m. on May 24, FOX announced yesterday. “This has been the role of a lifetime, and I will never be able to fully express my appreciation to everyone who made it possible,” star Kiefer Sutherland (aka “Jack Bauer”) said in a statement.
“While the end of the series is bittersweet, we always wanted 24 to finish on a high note, so the decision to make the eighth season our last was one we all agreed upon,” he continued.
But just because the show is ending, that doesn’t mean 24 is disappearing completely. Kiefer says he’s already talking with the show’s executive producer Howard Gordon about getting 24 on the big screen. A 24 movie sounds like a pretty cool idea to us!
