The similarities between Lady Gaga and Johnny Depp’s Alice in Wonderland character, the Mad Hatter, are downright eerie! Big cup, check. Big grin, check. Red lips – check again!
But wait – before you go thinking the 23-year-old singer is a Hatter fanatic, you should know that Gaga is simply showing off one of her birthday gifts (she turns 24 on March 28).
“Nothing like a communist-red teacup to make for the perfect Birthday gift,” she wrote on her Twitter page March 24.

…I like that she’ll say anything, naked, to sound intelligent and different.
If she understood Karl Marx (which is where the quote is from), she’d understand that the “communism” associated with red and the communist flag is entirely different than anything Marx would have advocated.
But whatever, people are going to eat it up.
Why can’t we just like people for the music, or for doing nice things, rather than for being a put-on?
